Legal Services Coordination Program
Please note this Program is only available to women outside of Ontario.
The Canadian Council of Muslim Women (CCMW) established the first-ever legal services coordination program specifically for Muslim women in Canada to provide culturally appropriate support when navigating family law matters. Designed as a one-stop referral service, the program connects women to trusted legal professionals and community supports that recognize the intersections of Canadian and Muslim family laws, as well as the cultural, linguistic, and systemic barriers many women face.
Through this program, CCMW supports Canadian Muslim women in accessing legal services that are responsive, respectful, and grounded in principles of fairness and equity. The initiative strengthens CCMW’s capacity to coordinate referrals to culturally appropriate legal and support services, with a focus on family law and protection from violence, helping women make informed decisions and pursue justice with confidence.
