Canadian Council of Muslim Women (“CCMW“) is a not-for-profit corporation and registered charity under the laws of Canada. At CCMW, we respect your privacy and the laws governing it, and are committed to protecting and safeguarding the Personal Information you have entrusted to us.
This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect the Personal Information of our beneficiaries, clients, employees, volunteers, donors, and other stakeholders — and how you can access or correct your information.
We will only use your Personal Information in accordance with this Privacy Policy unless otherwise required by applicable law. We take steps to ensure the Personal Information we collect is adequate, relevant, not excessive, and used only for limited purposes.
These obligations apply to all officers, employees, contractors, agents, and volunteers who provide services to or on behalf of CCMW.
Personal Information means information about an identifiable individual — such as name, age, home address, phone number, personal email, marital status, social insurance number, financial or banking information, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, health history, religion, citizenship status, and details of your involvement with our organization. It does not include anonymous data or Business Contact Information.
Business Contact Information means information that allows an individual to be contacted at a place of business (name, title, business phone, address, email, fax), collected only for the purpose of contacting someone in their professional capacity. Business Contact Information is not covered by this policy.
