Amal Ishaque

Amal Ishaque is an anti-oppression consultant and organizer involved in feminist, abolitionist, racial justice and queer Muslim movements, amongst others. Before founding their consulting agency, they worked as an educator for unions for over a decade.

Amal’s talks have taken them to global stages, including the World Social Forum Free Palestine, the Left Forum and other convergences. They regularly provide training and talks on understanding Islamophobia as a health issue, visioning abolitionist futures of care, transformative justice and other topics. Amal is also an interdisciplinary storyteller, Pushcart nominated poet and arts educator. Their work has been performed and published widely.
