CCMW Launches Legal Services Coordination Pilot Program

November 17, 2020

Toronto – The Canadian Council of Muslim Women (CCMW) has launched the first-ever legal services coordination pilot program geared specifically to Muslim women in Canada.

The program aims to provide culturally appropriate legal services coordination for Canadian Muslim women seeking legal advice and counsel on family law issues.  It is a one-stop referral service designed expressly for Canadian Muslim women to address their unique needs resulting from complexities related to Canadian and Muslim family laws.

Muslim women requiring legal services may contact CCMW at legalservices@ccmw.com or call 647-622-2221.  Alternatively, they may complete the Legal Services Coordination Intake Form.   A member of our Legal Services Coordination team will respond within 24 hours.  If the issue requires immediate attention, please indicate Urgent in the subject line.  This program is available to Muslim women across Canada.

The pilot program is funded by the Law Foundation of Ontario.

The Canadian Council of Muslim Women (CCMW) is an organization committed to equality, equity and empowerment of all Muslim women in Canada.
