CCMW Wisdom & Healing Circle: Co-Regulating Heaviness & Hope

Join us on April 28  for collective grieving, sharing, art therapy, and wisdom. During these unprecedented and deeply painful times in our Muslim and Human family, this workshop is open to everyone searching for a safe space to share your grief and co-regulate emotions as a community through art.

Amira Abutaa - Youth Counsellor

Amira Abutaa is a passionate advocate and mental health professional. She is a Canadian Certified Counselor and is currently a member of the Canadian Counselling Psychotherapy Association (CCPA). She is the Youth Counselor at Abrar Trauma and Mental Health Services and a Newcomer Youth Advisor at the YMCA. Amira provides mental health support at Abrar TMH through one-on-one counselling, group counselling and workshop facilitation, both online and in-person. She completed her Bachelor of Arts at the University of Toronto, and the Addictions and Mental Health post-graduate certificate program at Humber college. Learn more here

Natasha Matar - RSW/ Art Psychotherapy Intern

Tasha, a mixed queer Palestinian-Polish therapist, values therapy as a sacred space for self-discovery. Fluent in English, with a beginner’s level in French and Arabic, she embraces diverse spiritual backgrounds and experiences. Tasha specializes in trauma-informed therapy, blending art psychotherapy and somatic approaches to help clients navigate racial, political, and interpersonal trauma. Through her personal journey and work with refugees, she understands the profound impact of play and creativity in healing. Learn more here
