Tree planting event for Earth week 2023

CCMW-Brant came together with family and volunteers to help plant trees at the Brantford conversation area. The event was managed by the Brantford Tree Coalition. Muslims believe planting a tree is an act of Sadaqa Jariya, or ongoing charity. Any animal that uses its shade or eats from its leaves or fruits,  the good deed goes to the planter. 

All the volunteers and kids planted with this intention! Thank you to all the volunteers that came out today.  Kids had a blast!

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "There is none amongst the Muslims who plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, or a person or an animal eats from it, but is regarded as a charitable gift for him."
