Voices of Muslim Women: A Community Research Project by Samira Hussain

Click to download the full report

This is a community participatory research project that investigates the effects of September 11th and it’s aftermath on Canadian Muslim Women. These results demonstrate that the everyday lives of Canadian Muslim Women have been negatively affected by the events of 9/11. By critically examining individuals, communities and the media, the negative and positive consequences of 9/11 was deconstructed. This report makes several recommendations with the hope of alleviating some of the negative consequences of 9/11.
