Born and raised in Montréal, Mariam now lives in Ottawa on the unceded, unsurrendered territory of the Anishnaabe Algonquin People. Mariam has worked in the sexual and reproductive sector since 2018, supporting individuals in their health journeys. She currently works as an Access Line navigator with Action Canada, providing emotional support and system navigation services, and ensuring community members feel informed and advocated for. Mariam prioritizes access to compassionate, comprehensive care and supports people in making informed decisions about their bodies.
