Dr. Neelam Punjani is a Tenure Track Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Nursing, University of Alberta. Her research focuses on advancing evidence-based solutions for sexual and reproductive health among vulnerable populations, particularly immigrant and racialized children and youth. Her research on comprehensive sexuality education, technology-facilitated sexual violence, and online child sexual exploitation and abuse is funded by CIHR, WCHRI, and other major organizations, shaping policies across Canada and globally. She develops digital knowledge translation tools for children and parents and culturally responsive interventions for youth experiencing technology-facilitated violence. Her recognition includes WXN Canada’s Most Powerful Women Top 100™, King Charles III Coronation Medal, and selection as one of 100 Outstanding Nurses globally by Women in Global Health.
