Nadia Hasan has a PhD in Political Science from York University. She currently serves as the National Council of Canadian Muslims’ Chief Operating Officer and is part of the executive team leading the organization’s strategic direction on civil liberties and human rights issues affecting Canadian Muslims. Nadia has a background in academia and the non-profit sector. She has several years of experience working on policy and programs at Canadian think tanks and NGOs and she has taught university courses in South Asian studies, religion and gender. Her doctoral research focused on Muslim women’s organizations and the practice of Islam in Canada and Pakistan. Nadia is a published author on gender, religion, and migration.
