Fanta Ongoiba

Fanta Ongoiba has an extensive 20 years of experience in the HIV/AIDS sector as the Executive Director of Africans in Partnership Against AIDS. She is a leader in the African community, works on a few projects challenging prominent issues such as supporting people to speak about sex and sexually transmitted infections, Muslim boys/girls and Imams and HIV, empowering people living with HIV/AIDS, and the sexual exploitation of children. She is currently a PhD candidate on Social Justice Education at OISE, U of T. She considers herself a human rights activist and is particularly concerned with human rights and health for people living with HIV and AIDS.
