London – Know Your Rights Knowledge sharing Workshop

On Thursday, October 1, 2020, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., CCMW London, in partnership with the Muslim Resource Centre for Social Support and Integration (MRCSSI), hosted a workshop that educated and empowered Canadian Muslim women in the London area on Canadian and Muslim family law.

The workshop featured lawyer Leenat Jilani, Associate Lawyer at Kutty & Associates, as well as CCMW London members and Zahara Sheikh, Hina Islam, and Nicola Maritza Coombs of MRCSSI.

This workshop built the skills and knowledge of individuals, organizations, and communities, equipping them to increase access to justice for Canadian Muslim women facing family law issues. The goal of the workshop was to serve the community and strengthen the capacity of CCMW chapter members, legal professionals, community leaders, service providers, and educators across Canada.
