Nominate a Woman Who Inspires

Nominations now open for CCMW's annual Muslim "Women Who Inspire" awards

The Canadian Council of Muslim Women (CCMW) is inviting nominations for its annual Muslim "Women Who Inspire" awards. The initiative was launched in 2007 in celebration of the council's 25th anniversary.

A key objective of the initiative is to provide role models for girls and women and promote a positive image of Canadian Muslim women who have made a difference within or outside Canada. At least one of the women selected will be 30 years of age or younger.

Nominations are now open for Canadian Muslim women who have:

• demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of others
• demonstrated a commitment to women's equality
• participated in grassroots activism or demonstrated a commitment to civic engagement.

 Award winners will be recognized publicly in 2012.

 Nominations must be received by March 31, 2012 by email at ccmw_board@yahoo.ca with the subject line "Women Who Inspire Nomination" or mail to Eman Ahmed, 112 George St, Apt S-1501, Toronto, ON M5A 2M5
